21.6.10... Done It!
After four years of trying and the quest becoming an obsession I finally managed my first double figure tench at 11lb 1oz .......... thrilled to bits. Taken on the trusty Torrix and a single grain of midi plastic corn
What now ..... another from a different water perhaps!

After alot of hard work and illness (had the flu for ever!) I managed to get out for an early morning session after some tench. Three nice fish to 8lb9oz were my reward .... all taken on plastic maggots at 50m range. The rods used were my trusty Torrix 12' 2lb test curve ....... easily capable of casting a 2oz feeder yet retaining a great fish playing feel.

15.3.10... The 13' Trebuchet ..... one beast of a rod!
A set of four matched 13' Trebuchet's just sent to a customer in France ..... These rods, in the right hands, will put a lead well over 200m..... Not for the faint hearted!
These rods are the absolute top of the range and were kitted out with 20mm Carbon Weave reel seats and Fuji SIC HSVSG high stand off guides ........ really awsome tools!

1.3.10... A wet day at Avington
Spent a very enjoyable, although wet, day at Avington recently. Other than fishing of course the main reason for the trip was to put the new Harrison Lorhic 9' #6 through its paces.
Needless to say the rod was an absolute joy for both casting and fish playing ...... the results can been seen below.
My good mate Crooky accompanied me on this adventure and gave me a lesson in getting takes and catching!

CFFR Website6.12.2009... A trip to the Itchen
A great day out on the Lower Itchen Fishery with good company to boot!The river was very high and coloured and looked a bit daunting! However second trot through with a grain of corn produced a nice grayling of around a pound and by the end of the day 30 fish to 1 3/4lb had graced my net.
Fished with Crooky who was using his new 13' GTi Float Rod and pin.
