1.3.10... A wet day at Avington

Spent a very enjoyable, although wet, day at Avington recently. Other than fishing of course the main reason for the trip was to put the new Harrison Lorhic 9' #6 through its paces.
Needless to say the rod was an absolute joy for both casting and fish playing ...... the results can been seen below.

My good mate Crooky accompanied me on this adventure and gave me a lesson in getting takes and catching!

CFFR Website6.12.2009... A trip to the Itchen
A great day out on the Lower Itchen Fishery with good company to boot! The river was very high and coloured and looked a bit daunting! However second trot through with a grain of corn produced a nice grayling of around a pound and by the end of the day 30 fish to 1 3/4lb had graced my net.
Fished with Crooky who was using his new 13' GTi Float Rod and pin.
