June 2011... Guided day with John Searl ......

Had a fantastic fishing day with artist and writer John Searl on the River Avon. A days stalking produced a number of very good fish but was topped by the beautiful barbel in the photo below

John has a talent with rod, brush and pen, his artworks are truly stunning. Please take a look at his website.

June 2011... Trip to Abbey Lakes in France ......

Had a three day session on the Abbey Lakes complex in France with my good mate Ian Crook in early June. Hot and still but the carp were feeding! We had a number of good thirties with Crooky taking the best at over 46lb...
