Established in the late 1940s by Charles and Ronald Chapman, the family firm of R.Chapman & Co. has been synonymous with the manufacture of bamboo cane fishing rods and cane rod blanks for over fifty years. Throughout the 1950's and 60's the Company introduced many innovative cane fishing rod designs such as the Peter Stone Ledgerstrike and the Fred.J Taylor Roach Rod both of which have become part of angling history and much sought-after by collectors and cane rod traditionalists. Today they are in their third generation of family members and still practise the traditional skills of the bamboo cane rod-maker and are probably the very best available . All of the cane rod blanks supplied will be fully impregnated to give a tough yet pleasing finish that will last a lifetime

All prices include reinforced brass ferrule, Hardlon traditional guides, full grade A cork handles with polished aluminium sliding collars, tapered threaded and rubber butt caps, keeper ring and cloth bag. Other, more contemporary fittings and finishes are available on request for these traditional cane rods.
